The team

Laybac Clothing Co. is a small family-run clothing brand founded by us ; Dominic from England and Ann Kristin from Norway.

Our story began on a surf camp in Portugal, where we met while chasing waves, sunshine, and a slower way of life. A few years later, we moved to a tiny island on Norway's west coast to build a family together.

Although our surroundings changed dramatically, our love for the outdoors never did.

Today, we're raising our family between the mountains, fjords, forests, and coastline that inspire everything we create.

Why we started Laybac

Living in Norway, we noticed something missing.

We loved the relaxed surf- and skate lifestyle, but so much of the clothing inspired by that culture featured palm trees, tropical beaches, and endless summers.

But that wasn't our reality anymore. Our adventures looked different; cold-water surf sessions, mountain hikes, quiet mornings by the fjord, campfires and windy coastlines.

We wanted clothing that celebrated this side of outdoor life, a brand inspired by the raw beauty of Norway, while staying true to the creativity and freedom that surf and skate culture represent.

So we decided to build it ourselves.

Norway's nature influences almost everything we create. From the colours we choose to the artwork on our t-shirts, our designs are inspired by the mountains, fjords, forests, and coastline that surround us every day.

We also believe clothing should last. That's why we focus on heavyweight fabrics, comfortable fits, and timeless designs that you'll enjoy wearing for years.

More than clothing

For us, Laybac has always been about more than clothing.

It's about creating a lifestyle that reminds people to slow down, spend more time outdoors, and appreciate the places around them.

Whether that's a surf session, a hike in the mountains, a camping trip with friends, or simply a quiet coffee with a great view, we hope our clothing encourages people to make more time for those moments.

We're still a small family business, and we're learning every day. We know we're not perfect, but we're committed to making better products, making better choices, and building a brand we're proud of.

Through our Land, Sea & Community initiative, we donate 3% of every sale to projects that plant trees, remove plastic from our oceans, and support communities in need.

Thank you for being part of the journey.
